The Aks Sconcentrico dining table, designed by Ascanio Zocchi, is a truly unique piece that combines art, design, and nature. Inspired by the erosion of marble in both natural and artificial settings, this table represents the beauty and fragility of the mountains.

At first glance, the Aks Sconcentrico table is a stunning piece of furniture made from Carrara statuary marble. However, upon closer inspection, you will notice the intricate grooves carved into the surface. Inside these grooves, stainless steel spheres are placed, symbolizing the flow of water that erodes the marble over time.

Measuring 160 cm in diameter and 75 cm in height, the Aks Sconcentrico table is a monolithic block of marble, crafted using state-of-the-art CNC water jet technology. The surface is treated with a stain-resistant biological product, making it impervious to stains and ensuring its longevity.

What sets the Aks Sconcentrico table apart is not only its unique design but also its interactive nature. The table features a central difference in height, with the center being 8 centimeters higher than the sides. This creates an optical illusion of movement as the steel balls inside the grooves roll towards the edge or up towards the center, depending on their trajectory. It adds an element of surprise and playfulness to the dining experience.
